Monkeys Dominate UK Chartsby Contributor | 30 April 2007
Arctic Monkeys have achieved their second number one album in less than two years with Favourite Worst Nightmare landing the top spot in the album chart this week.
Their second album outsold the rest of the top 20 albums all together on the day of its release.
The Sheffield rockers have also scored a large number of top singles, with the whole of Favourite Worst Nightmare in the top 200.
A number of other tracks have also charted and if predictions are proved to be correct, the band will have 18 songs in the top 200 after renewed interest in their debut.
Current single Brianstorm charted at number seven after making it to number two last week.
Beyonce and Shakira held on to the top spot for another week with their track Beautiful Liar and Timbaland was up one place to number two with Give it to Me.
One of the other positions in the chart not occupied by Arctic Monkeys went to Mika, who went in at number six with his new single Love Today.
