Molly Meldrum Wins Aussie Music Honour
26 January 2012The veteran record executive is currently undergoing treatment in a rehabilitation centre as he battles to recover from a fall at his home before Christmas (11), which left him in an induced coma.
He also underwent numerous operations to treat injuries including a fractured skull, a broken collar bone, punctured lung and extensive breaks and fractures to his ribcage.
Meldrum has now been honoured with a Rolling Stone Award for his contribution to music, with bosses at the Australian publication naming him The Immortal.
In other categories, British band Florence and The MAChine scooped the Best Act Award and the Foo Fighters were named Best Live Act.
