Mogul Bernstein Pushes His Own Biopic
The man who brought THE BEATLES to America is pushing a new movie about his life story.
Music impresario Sid Bernstein is widely credited for the British invasion of bands to the U.S. and introducing his countrymen and women to the music of the Fab Four, the Rolling Stones and the Kinks, among others.
Now 91, Bernstein has inspired the biopic Sid Bernstein Presents, which shows his rise from humble beginnings in Harlem, New York - and features interviews with the likes of Lenny Kravitz and Shirley MACLaine.
The movie has yet to land a distribution deal, and Bernstein is asking friends and fans to help him land it a spot on the film festival circuit.
Bernstein tells the New York Post, "I hope my friends and musical fans will support the film to learn why fighting for music matters."
