Lauren Scruggs - Model Lauren Scruggs Loses Her Hand In Freak Accident

Model and fashion blogger Lauren Scruggs has lost her hand in a freak plane propeller accident.
The blonde beauty also sustained severe head and shoulder injuries after walking into the spinning blades upon exiting a two-seater plane in Texas on Saturday (03Dec11).
The 23 year old's hand had to be amputated by surgeons.
Further surgery was carried out on Monday morning (05Dec11) and Scruggs is reportedly resting in hospital as medics attempt to save the sight in her left eye.
A family statement posted on the website CaringBridge.com reads, "She is now resting in Icu with the family. She is able to open her right eye to see while her left eye is still bandaged. Please continue to pray for the vision of her left eye, as we will not know the status of her sight for some time."
