Miss China Named Miss World 2012

A top Chinese beauty queen has been crowned Miss World 2012.

Miss China, Yu Wenxia, earned the home court advantage and beat Sophie Moulds from Wales and Jessica Kahawaty from Australia to claim the coveted title during a lavish ceremony at the Dongsheng stadium in the city of Ordos, China on Saturday (18Aug12).

Wenxia was presented with the bejewelled tiara by last year's (11) Miss World, Ivian Sarcos from Venezuela.
