Mirren Upset Over Female Representation In Tinker Tailor
The espionage thriller has already been tipped for Oscar glory based on the performances of the male-dominated cast, which features Gary Oldman and Colin Firth.
But Mirren admits she was disappointed not to see actresses in any leading roles.
She tells Britain's The Times, "How many women were in that? I mean, come on. There weren't any women in the Seventies? The secret service always had a huge number of women working for them. And they played major roles in real life. But they were ignored for this film."
