Miranda Lambert - Miranda Lambert Appeals For Owner Of Abandoned Pup

Country star and animal lover Miranda Lambert has reached out to her Twitter.com followers to track down the owner of a dog she found abandoned on the roadside in Oklahoma.

Blake Shelton's wife has become known for rescuing poor pups she comes across while on tour and on Tuesday (12Mar13) she used her micro-blogging account to appeal for the cute beagle mix's rightful owner to come forward.

In a series of Twitter.com posts, the singer writes, "I just picked this up on the west side of Tishomingo on hwy 22. Please contact Tish animal shelter if he is yours... He was in the middle of the hwy (highway) with his food bowl and bed... If it wasn't an accident someone is really sick."

Lambert has become known for taking in stray mutts herself, but she had to drop off the pooch she rescued on Tuesday at a local shelter because she has no more room at home.

When asked by a fan if the dog would be her "new road puppy", she replies, "As if we need anymore!"
