Miranda Lambert - Miranda Lambert Aiming For Grammy Gold
Country star Miranda Lambert has set her sights on penning an award-winning hit song in 2012 - because the Grammy she took home this year (11) is for a track she had no part in writing.
The singer has been Grammy nominated six times over the last four years, but she only emerged victorious in the 2011 category for Best Female Country Vocal Performance for The House That Built Me, a composition written by Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin.
Now Lambert is gunning for gold once more - but this time she hopes she will be able to take all of the credit for writing and performing a Grammy-worthy song.
She tells the Associated Press, "I'd love to actually write a song that was nominated for Song of the Year. That would be a huge thing to me.
"Eventually over the next five years I'd maybe like to win Entertainer of the Year - when I've earned it."
