Dannii Minogue - Minogue Wants Another Baby

Singer DANNII MINOGUE is relishing her new role as a mother - and is already making plans to have another child.
The Australian pop star welcomed her first baby, son Ethan, with partner Kris Smith in July (10) - and she admits becoming a mum has made her want to expand her family.
She says, "I've gone from being not bothered about being a mum to being quite keen to have a second baby.
"For me, the baby idea came from meeting the right man. And now he's (Ethan) here and he's giggling and smiling. It's an incredible thing.
"I never thought I was very maternal. I was always so busy with work, and a baby just seemed... like something I was never going to do."

Dannii Minogue says she and Kylie are 'boring' 4122066 News

Dannii Minogue and her sister Kylie are ''more boring than people think''.

The fashion designer admitted her wild days are behind her, but she and her older sibling still enjoy a quiet night in ''curled up on the couch watching TV''.

Speaking to The Sun on Sunday newspaper's Fabulous magazine, she said: ''Kylie and I are so much more boring than people think. When we have time together, it's down time.

''We're usually curled up on the couch watching TV or making a cuppa. It's boring Nannas-ville.''

Part of the reason for the pair not heading out as much any more is due to fans and the general public staring at them if they're spotted out and about.

She admitted ''We don't really go out-out that much because people spend the whole time [staring].

''It's weird. So we just normally eat at home. She loves it when I cook, but she's a really good cook too - even though she doesn't think she is.''

Dannii also hinted at her romance with producer Adrian Newman, saying she is ''happy'', but refusing to give any more details.

She added: ''I don't want to talk about any relationship stuff, but I'm happy and life is good. There's not much more to say.''

Dannii Minogue writing 'personal' new album 4007794 News

Dannii Minogue is set to open up on a ''very personal'' new album.

The 42-year-old star has begun work on her latest record, and it is said she could be ready to sing about her break-up with Kris Smith and her rumoured fling with Simon Cowell.

An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: ''The record will be very personal. Dannii wants to cover the events from the last couple of years.

''She's kept quiet about a lot of things and is using her music as an opportunity to finally speak about it all. She's actually finding it really therapeutic.''

The 'Put The Needle On It' singer has been turning to her sister Kylie for support as she writes the new album - which is her first in ten years, which made her apprehensive.

She said: ''I've been dabbling for a while, I've got a few tracks there. The older you get the more hesitant you get.

''There's more at stake and seeing how I'm going to build in time for that and keep some balance.

''There's always a few messages from fans saying 'Come on, it's been 10 years since the last album'. I've had little chunks of time to dedicate and sit down and write stuff. It's all about the right songs.''

Mark Lindsey, the BBC's head of entertainment commissioning spoke of the show's optimism for its third outing: "With two new coaches on board and our two new presenters it's going to really mix things up."

Kylie's sister Dannii has previously been a judge on The Voice's ITV rival, The X Factor, until 2011. Perhaps there's a touch of sibling rivalry afoot: Dannii won twice with her candidates on The X Factor so Kylie might be looking to be more successful.

Dannii Minogue Swaps Music For Modelling As Judge On Next Top Model 3426797 News

Dannii Minogue has decided on a more appropriate career venture as a judge on the next series of 'Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model' and has declined a return to 'The X Factor'.

The former singer judged on the singing talent show between 2007 and 2010 but, according to a friend of hers in The Mirror, 'She doesn't want the hassle and the rows that come with doing 'The X Factor'.' Music mogul Simon Cowell asked her last year if she would make a return, attempting to group together some of the former judges of the show possibly in a bid to up the program's quickly falling ratings. However, Dannii, who has her own fashion label Project D, is more interested in the world of fashion these days and has instead signed a deal with Sky Living show 'Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model'. 'I am brushing up on my model moves and with my highest platform heels on, I am excited to come face to face with (well maybe look up to) the glamazons of BINTM 2013', she told The Mirror. 'Next Top Model has always been a part of my essential TV viewing and I am so excited to be back in the UK for Britain & Ireland's Next Top Model's ninth series.' She admits that she loves mentoring but is particularly excited to join the modelling competition's judging panel because she is a huge fan of executive producer and co-judge Elle MacPherson. 'I remember Elle's first magazine cover in Australia and I have been a fan of hers since then', she said.

The star is set to join Elle and actor Tyson Beckford in February 2013 when filming begins with the show being aired later in the summer. Elle is equally as excited to have Dannii join them, admitting: 'I am really enthusiastic about working with Dannii. I have watched her blossom into a powerhouse in fashion and television and believe she will bring a fresh energy to the show - plus she's gorgeous.'

Simon Cowell sends S.O.S to Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, and Dannii Minogue 3359141 News

Simon Cowell has issued an X Factor S.O.S to former judges Sharon Osbourne and Dannii Minogue, whilst persuading Louis Walsh to stay on for further seasons. Cowell has asked both female stars to return to the show, while he would make regular guest appearances.

According to The Sun, if either star refused to return, Cheryl Cole would be in line for another bash at the UK show. A show source said, "The first three series relied solely on genuine British talent and a chemistry between the judges that simply hasn't been there since Sharon left. By series three they had produced an international star with Leona Lewis and the show had real credibility." Though the latter point is debatable, The X Factor certainly appears to have descended into farce in recent years, with Gary Barlow feuding with Tulisa Contostavlos every week and Louis Walsh telling every act, "You remind me of a young Boyzone," as if a robot programmed with only one stock phrase. Last week's Halloween themed show was down 200,000 on the previous week's viewers and Cowell appears ready to take drastic measures. Cheryl's agent has denied she had been approached, while Sharon's spokesman said, "She is always open to good suggestions."

Perhaps most surprisingly, a potential revamp could also see long-standing host Dermot O'Leary replaced by The Voice presenter Holly Willoughby.

The last time Cowell, Osbourne, Walsh and Minogue were behind the judging desk, this happened:

Simon Cowell and Demi Lovato Enjoy War Of Words On Conan O'Brien Show 3287197 News

The Demi Lovato X factor was there for all to see as the feisty young star came out the better of a verbal ding dong with her boss Simon Cowell on Conan O'Brien's chat show. The Sun reports that the duo were there to promote the new series of X Factor, which has just kicked off out in the States, and Lovato brought exactly the same outspoken energy that she's been displaying so far on the program to the chat show couch.

Joking to O'Brien, Lovato quipped "We're trying to reach a younger demographic, and I don't feel we're going to accomplish that when he's showing more cleavage than Britney [Spears] and I are." Cowell, who has recently seen revelations come out in public that suggested he'd told UK X Factor bosses to re-hire Dannii Minogue "for her t*ts", suggested that Lovato and third judge Britney Spears could show more cleavage. However, he was fought down by the 20 year-old who also joked that normally Simon "could braid his chest hair".

Lovato also called Cowell an "a**hole" during the broadcast and, feeling picked on, the beleaguered music mogul turned to O'Brien and pleaded: "Tell her to stop picking on me, please." There was no one on his side in front of the cameras though, with the talk show host replying sarcastically: "Don't pick on him! He's a kind man who's NEVER insulted anyone!" Poor Simon.

'My Baby's Better Than Harper Beckham!' Company Beseiged With Modelling Requests 3006187 News The children's clothing company My1stYears.com has been inundated with messages from doting parents claiming that their kids are more beautiful than Victoria Beckham 's daughter Harper Seven. The company's founders, Jonny Sitton and Daniel Price have contacted Victoria and David, to offer a modelling contract to Harper and since other mums and dads caught wind of the offer, they have been besieged with emails from pushy parents insisting that their own offspring are better looking than Baby Beckham.
The number of emails that they've received has got so large that they have been forced to ask people to stop contacting them, lest they should miss a reply from the Beckhams themselves, The Telegraph reports today. "It's wonderful that so many parents want their children to be associated with My1stYears.com but for now we'd like to respectfully ask parents to please stop sending in their pictures. We don't want to miss a response from the Beckhams so we really need these emails to stop coming in" said Mr. Price.
The company apparently has a number of celebrities in its fan base. According to the report, Sir Elton John is a fan of the brand and has been presented with a gift set for his son Zachary. The company owners have also presented Dannii Minogue with a gift set for her little one as well. They are keen to get Harper on board as the face of the brand though and have described her as "the most stylish tot around." Dannii Minogue's Layering Advice 2574403 News

Dannii Minogue thinks layering can "boost the versatility of your wardrobe".

The Australian beauty believes the technique is an ideal way to make a "graceful transition" from the cold winter air to a heated room inside and it can allow people to "highlight your individuality" by teeming a number of garments together to create various looks.

She said: "The focus is definitely on keeping warm, snuggling up and doing whatever it takes to survive the last stretch before spring arrives.

"The good news is that layering with different textures, fabrics and patterns was one of this season's hottest trends on Fashion Week runways.

"Layering boosts the versatility of your wardrobe because you can mix and match pieces to achieve all sorts of unique looks that highlight your individuality.

"And layering is the best way to make a graceful transition from the chilly outdoors to central heating inside."

The 40-year-old star found layering to be a great technique when she was pregnant with 18-month-old son Ethan - her first child with partner Kris Smith - and she also enjoys mixing prints and textures.

She added in her column for Britain's Glamour magazine: "I really got into layering when I was pregnant with Ethan. I had so many pairs of jeggings and leggings, lots of stretchy long-sleeved tops and a couple of long cardigans and scarves, which were great to wrap around me when I was feeling protective of my bump."

Dannii Minogue: 'Appendicitis Pain Was Worse Than Giving Birth' 1658174 News Australian pop star Dannii Minogue was convinced she would die when she developed appendicitis, insisting the agony she felt was worse than childbirth.
The TV star began feeling unwell in April (11) and "got worse and worse" before seeking medical attention. A doctor diagnosed acute appendicitis and she underwent emergency surgery in a London hospital.
Minogue has now opened up about the health scare, revealing giving birth to her son Ethan last July (10) was a "breeze" compared to the crippling stomach pains she experienced.
She tells Australia's Herald-Sun, "Anyone who says it is the most painful thing: I hear you. (Giving birth) was actually a breeze (by comparison). After two hours of appendix pain I called my doctor and said, 'I think I'm dying and if I don't get to hospital right now I will be dead.'
"I had no idea what it was at that stage. I was out visiting a friend and started feeling unwell and it got worse and worse. The actual thought going through my head was I'm going to die. I couldn't move.
"Being in that much pain and not knowing what it was, was just horrendous. I'm just a new mum, I've got a little baby to look after. It was really scary. (The surgeons) whipped it (appendix) out."
