Early reports that trickled in were dismissed as another celebrity sex tape hoax, though Tmz.com say the tape features Minka with an ex-boyfriend in New Mexico. The 30 minute long movie is strangely shot in a semi professional manner and features the camera secured by a tripod and hooked up to a television monitor. Minka is said to be "very aware of the camera" throughout. It's currently unclear how old the actress was when the tape was shot, though the track 'Never Say Never' from Brandy's second album of the same name is playing in the background. That record was released on June 8, 1998, 16 days before Minka's 18th birthday. The actress is reportedly seen to be singing and dancing to the song in the video.

Though celebrity sex tapes have often had positive effects on the careers of those involved (think Kim Kardashian), it's probably bad timing for Kelly, should it be proved that it's her in the video. Attempting to establish herself as a serious actress, she recently landed a role in the forthcoming drama 'The Butler', about the White House butler who served under eight American Presidents. The film boasts an all-star cast including Liam Neeson, Zac Efron and Alex Pettyfer. Minka Kelly is yet to respond to the reports.
