A U - Mindy Mccready Committed To Treatment Facility - Report

Concerned family members were granted an emergency hearing on Wednesday (06Feb13) to address MCCready's ability to care for herself and her two sons, six-year-old Zander and nine-month-old Zayne, following the unexpected death of her boyfriend, David Wilson, at their home in Arkansas last month (Jan13). Initial reports suggested he committed suicide but police are still investigating the case.

Officials from the Arkansas Division of Children and Family Services subsequently removed the kids from the singer's care on Wednesday, shortly before a judge committed her to a medical facility, where she will deal with her personal problems after admitting to becoming more reliant on alcohol to help her cope following her partner's death.

A source tells E! News, "Family members sought to have Mindy committed to a mental-health facility and there was an emergency hearing... The judge committed her for up to 21 days... David's death has truly been a struggle for her."

The court decision comes nine days after MCCready denied any involvement in Wilson's passing, following rumours suggesting she was somehow responsible.

Wilson was the father of MCCready's youngest child.
