Mills Heading To Haiti For Amputee Campaign

Sir Paul McCartney's ex-wife Heather Mills is planning a trip to Haiti to aid amputees in the country.

Mills lost her left leg in a road accident in 1993 and has tirelessly campaigned to raise awareness of the struggles amputees go through.

She's planning on taking her mission to Haiti, which was hit by a massive earthquake last week (12Jan10), leaving thousands of people dead and millions seeking aid.

And Mills publicly appealed to viewers of British morning show GMTV on Friday (22Jan10) to help with her mercy mission.

She says, "Can anyone contact heathermills.org to donate second hand limbs, wheelchairs and crutches because we're taking tons of them out to Haiti for our recycling limbs campaign. We've got thousands and thousands of amputees. That's really important (to raise awareness)."
