Milla Jovovich - Milla Jovovich Promises Regular Visits To Injured Extra
Milla Jovovich has vowed to continue visiting the actress who was hospitalised after an accident on the set of the new Resident Evil movie until she's released from medics' care.
Filming at Canada's Cinespace Film Studios came to a halt in the early hours of Tuesday (11Oct11) when a platform used for a chase sequence crashed to the ground, injuring 12 actors dressed as zombies and four members of the production team.
The injured were taken to local hospitals for treatment, but most returned to work on the upcoming fifth installment of the film franchise hours later.
One female extra named Alice remained under medical supervision and Jovovich visited her on Tuesday night - and she's vowed to make weekly trips to see the woman as she recovers from a back injury.
In a series of posts on her Twitter.com page, Jovovich writes, "I just saw akiko (who goes by April btw) and she's in a lot of pain. She injured her back.
"Thank god she's moving her hands and feet and not in critical condition. She's a piano player. Her brother plays the violin.
"I promised her that I would come and see her every week while I'm here to give her support and strength in her recovery. I can't believe she said she wants to come back and finish her part, she's incredible. I will keep u all posted in how she's doing over these next weeks.
"We couldn't make these films w/out (without) their hard work and enthusiasm and we're so lucky so many ppl love to come and be a part of the Re Series!"
