Miley Cyrus' love interest on 'Two and a Half Men' had no idea she was joining the show.

While it was confirmed yesterday (27.08.12) that Miley will play Missi ''an old family friend of Walden Schmidt (Ashton Kutcher) who comes to visit for a week and develops a relationship with Jake Harper when he comes home from the army'', Angus T. Jones - who plays Jake - admitted he wasn't told of the latest development.

He explained to E! News: ''Honestly, they don't tell me anything of what the future shows are going to be. I'm on a need to know basis. But if that's what's going to happen, it will be cool.

''I've met her a few times before and it would be fun to work with her.

''Whatever it's going to be, it's going to be interesting.''

Miley - who made her name on 'Hannah Montana' - is set to guest star in two upcoming episodes of the CBS sitcom.

This will be a return to the small screen for Miley, who has starred in movies 'LOL' and 'So Undercover' since the Disney show finished last year.

'Two and a Half Men' returns to US screens on September 27 at 8:30 p.m.
