The Streets - Mike Skinner Launches New Music Project

Mike Skinner has teamed up with British rocker Robert Harvey for a new music collaboration after releasing his final album with The Streets.
The rapper shot to fame in the U.K. in 2002 with the release of The Streets' debut album Original Pirate Material, and he brought the curtain down on the band after releasing Computers and Blues earlier this year (11).
But Skinner isn't stepping out of the spotlight yet - he is recording new material with Harvey, who left The Music in the summer (11), under the name D.O.T.
The duo has released 14 demo tracks and accompanying videos online and Skinner insists the partnership has inspired him.
He says, "It's like one of those buddy movies from the '80s where the dream is impossible until they both make each other see things in themselves that they previously didn't know."
