Fans of Mike Scaccia have raised more than $10,000 (£6,250) for the rocker's family following his death last month (Dec12).
The 47-year-old guitarist was performing with metal band Rigor Mortis in Fort Worth, Texas on 22 December (12) when he collapsed onstage.
Scaccia was rushed to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, and a coroner subsequently ruled he had suffered a heart attack.
His Rigor Mortis bandmate Bruce Corbitt launched a fundraising campaign to benefit the late star's family, and fans have already donated $10,200 (£6,375).
In a post on his Facebook.com page, Corbitt writes, "The credit goes out to everyone for helping."
