Social Distortion - Mike Ness 'Standing Up' For Animals In Vegetarian Campaign

Social Distortion rocker Mike Ness is encouraging fans to end animal suffering by adopting a vegetarian diet.
The punk star has teamed up with campaigners at Peta2, the youth division of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta), to speak out against meat consumption in a bid to protect animals and the planet.
Ness has posed for a Peta2 advertisement with a caption which reads: "I believe in standing up for animals who can't speak for themselves. I love being a vegetarian, and I believe it is the right choice for me. I'm Mike Ness from Social Distortion, and I am a vegetarian."
Death Cab For Cutie star Chris Walla, rocker Ted Leo and punk band Rise Against are also backing the pro-vegetarian campaign.
