Michael Le Vell - Michael Le Vell Cleared Of Child Sex Abuse Claims

Michael Le Vell, the British actor best known for playing Kevin Webster on long running soap Coronation Street, has been "completely exonerated" of child sex abuse claims. Le Vell spoke of his "delight" at finally clearing his name after a saga that dates back to September 2011, according to the UK's Daily Mirror.
Michael, 46, was first arrested and interviewed after allegations were made against him of a sexual assault - said to have taken place a number of years ago. However, Manchester Police announced last week they would not be pursuing the case, leading Le Vell to release a statement that read, "Following the conclusion of the police enquiry into allegations that have been widely publicised in the national press, I would like to acknowledge and give thanks to the Greater Manchester Police for the fair, thorough and independent investigation that they have conducted". The actor says he is now keen to put the incident behind him and plans to carry on working on Coronation Street. The father of two from Hale, Cheshire, said, "I would like to thank the public sincerely for their loyal support during what has been a most difficult and upsetting phase in my life.I also want to give special thanks to my colleagues on Coronation Street and Itv Studios and Itv for their unwavering support of me".
Police announced last week that the case was closed after investigation lawyers decided there was not enough evidence to charge him. Le Vell split from his wife Janette Beverley last year.

Yes its amazing what you can do when you have money. I was wrongley accused and its been on my record since 1997 and i cannot get it off and it even stopped me having conntact with my son. But the best laugh is that i still have to pay his matinence. now i can only send hhim a birthday card and a christmas card. Im suppose to recieve a school report and photograph once a year, this does not always happen then i go back to the solicitors an it cost the tax payer again every year without fail. i dont suppose he gets the cards i send. it went on in the courts for 10 years. its sickening..

bryan001 I feel for you. I think lots of Dads get treated extremely unfairly by both the Courts and by the woman with whom they have children. I am a woman but have seen what terrible treatment my husband endured at the hands of his ex-wife over the 20 year period we've been together. I am convinced some women lose their marbles once they give birth and can sometimes use both the courts and their own children as weapons against the sometimes innocent ex-partners. Keep your chin up mate cos what goes around always comes around!
