Michael Jackson's Tiger Thriller Loses Cancer Battle

Michael Jackson's pet tiger has lost her battle with lung cancer at actress Tippi Hedren's Shambala Preserve in rural California.

The big cat, named Thriller, used to live at the King of Pop's Neverland ranch in Santa Barbara, California with her brother Sabu.

When Jackson departed the ranch after his child molestation court case in 2006, his veterinarian asked Hedren to take the tigers in at her sanctuary in Acton. Thriller had lived there ever since.

She was 13 when she died on 11 June (12). The tiger has been cremated and Hedren and her staff are planning to hold a private service to say farewell to the big cat.

Hedren tells The Associated Press that she has always thought it strange that Jackson never called to check on his tigers - or offer to help with the animals' upkeep.

She reveals she sent a package of photos of Sabu and Thriller and T-shirts and other memorabilia to Jackson's children a year after the big cats arrived at Shambala, but heard nothing back.

She says, "I just think it's odd."

I truly believe that MJ was sooo tramatized by that fake trial, that everything attached to Neverland was just to hard for him to deal with. Tippi got those animals in excellent health, so they were being taken care of. I don't think people can understand the magnitude of the disappointment and hurt that a person like Michael Jackson probably experience from that trial. He couldn't eat, couldn't sleep he loss so much weight and he was scared to death not only for himself but for his children's future without him and I know how he must have felt after not only trusting these leeches, but he after he did everything to help that family and that was the thanks he got. The biggest problem MJ always had was he believed in and trusted people WAY TOOO MUCH!.And that family knew that and they tried to extort him for his money. Well, I wish he could have had hands on help with his animals but mentally it probably was to much for him. We will never know now!. Thanks Tippi for all that you do!

What a shame... I'd like to think he cared about them even if the animal menagerie was part of his manufactured lifestyle.
