Michael Jackson - Michael Jackson's Costume Collection To Be Auctioned

Michael Jackson's costume collection is to be auctioned in December.

Between 50 and 100 of the late singer's famous fashions, including his iconic right-hand crystal glove - which is expected to fetch more than $400,000 - will go on a worldwide tour this year before going under the hammer at Julien's Auctions in Beverly Hills, California, on December 2.

The items are created by Michael's long-time costume designers Dennis Tompkins and Michael Bush, and many of the pieces are signed by the King of Pop.

Michael's custom shirts, a gold belt, jackets seen in his performances of 'Beat It' and 'Bad', a black stage jacket he donned at his 1993 Super Bowl appearance and a leotard he wore on his 'Bad' tour will all be sold at the auction, some of which haven't been seen in public since Michael died in June 2009 of acute Propofol intoxication.

The collection will begin its tour tomorrow (18.05.12) at the Museo de la Moda in Santiago, Chile, before heading to other South American countries, as well as Europe, Asia and the US and proceeds from teh auction will go towards Guide Dogs of America and the Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas.

A spokesperson from the auction house said: ''There is no doubt that Michael Jackson was a global fashion icon as well as award winning and beloved musician.

''His wardrobe dictated many of the styles throughout the last few decades. Jackson played a very intimate role in the designs and completion of every costume and piece of clothing he wore both on stage and in his personal life.'

Fashion icon? he wore surgical masks! Don't see many people following his trends. In fact he was mocked for his stupid face coverings and military uniforms. But you never know, maybe someone will find his nose in one of the pockets lol

First of all Random Axe of Kindless stop making stupid comments. Walk in Michael's shoes and see how you do. Read something besides tabloid garbage.I wish the tour would come my way. I would love to see Michael's costumes. A lot of care was taken in selecting them. RIP Michael.

.Why would anyone want to walk in his shoes? What a pointless comment. But, we don't need to do that to realize he was a not right in the head. And, why do you assume that the world is unable to determine between tabloid garbish and their own abilities to think for themselves? I'll tell you why. Because if you admitted that it would be one less excuse the fantards have to use. Who pays attention to what tabloids write anyway? You lot obviously do to know what is written in them. At the very best, if you're saying tabloids trash jacko, all I can say is that they agree with me, not me them. My opinion, also, is that he was not a style icon because people just don't walk around wearing surgical masks and uniforms unless they are surgeons or military etc and not both at the same time. That he did was just another tick in the 'wacko jacko is mad as hatter' box. So think about why the rest of the world come to conclusions about him and forget newspapers. We heard him speak, we saw how he acted and we form our opinions. Remember, the rest of us are normal people who do see freakish immoral behavior for what it is. And no-one needed to tell us. As for what you consider to be stupid comments, who made you moderator? Anyone can say what they like and what you make of it is up to you. You have no authority to restrict what people write. Just because you don't like it is just tough. Jacko was a freak and has fans who condone him and his behavior. That you think he and his behavior was normal actually tells us more about you than you realize. That says it all. So go find better excuses to excuse him because we're used to the standard ones. Not that decent morale people will fall for them either. But it keeps you off the streets ...... go foam at the mouth over that lot! I wait with baited breath for your standard insults and aggression. Off you pop now

I would love to see Michael's costumes...I hope they make it my way! And as for people trashing him...jealousy and envy are ugly partners! Why people have to say such cruel things is beyond me....Michael was a genius and will remain a legend whether anyone likes it or not!! SO THERE!!!!

Can someone please explain to me why people who don't care, have respect for or have out right hatred for Michael Jackson or any celebrity for that matter gets off so much by wasting their time and energy by continuously complaining about how awful this person is/was or talking so harshly (not personally knowing this man, only by what you read or hear) against these people's personal lives and deaths. It's been almost three years now that Michael Jackson has been dead and people are still on blogs dissing this deceased person. In the incredible(?) words of nitram WHAT POINTLESS COMMENTS! Whether you didn't like his face, his clothing, his family, his friends, his fans, his performances or any other thing that people can come up with to hate someone they never met and didn't personally know, then why is anyone STILL going after this man which now can only hurt his children or his family?? If Michael Jackson personally did anything TO these people then and only then this might makes sense, but if after all of this time these comments are as fresh as they were on June 25, 2009 and 40 years BEFORE that, I can only assume Michael Jackson life MUST HAVE MEAN'T SOMETHING MUCH MORE TO THESE PEOPLE THAN THEY ARE WILLING TO ADMIT. Respecting the dead HAS ALWAYS been the right thing to do, but if you have nothing good to say about a person (especially after they have died) then don't say anything or better still just find someone whom you like. That should be easy enough!!! RIGHT??

Because they can so they do. People have as much right to not like something even if you do. They have every right to voice there opinions and objections also. But I notice that they start off saying that the subject of the article is to their dislike, or their comments are directed at the subject matter but then fans come on and insult them because fans don't like things being said. So then they retort with the fantadt stuff. You ignore them and let them say what they want to, they'll not blast it right back in your face when you acknowledge them. Their dislike for someone does not barr them from saying so and because a person does not like Michael Jackson or what they perceive him to be does not barr them from saying so either. This is a public place and if people see an article that they want to comment on, regardless of it being positive or negative, they comment. You take it personally, they were just airing their views.
