Michael Jackson's 300m Memorial Museum

Michael Jackson's father is opening a $300 million museum dedicated to his son.

Joe Jackson- is moving ahead with proposals to build a museum, performing arts centre, concert hall and possibly a hotel and casino in Gary, Indiana, the hometown of the late singer, who died of acute Propofol intoxication last June.

Speaking as it was announced a study is to be undertaken into the feasibility of the scheme, Joe said: "This is a happy day for me because this is something that my family and Michael have always wanted.

"We're bringing something back."

Gary Mayor Rudy Clay explained the city would donate 300 acres of land to the project - which he added could create "thousands" of jobs - while the rest of the funding for the complex will come from investors and donations from the general public.

IT is hoped the project would attract 750,000 visitors each year - and as much as $150m in annual revenue.

Similar ideas have been suggested in California - where the 'Thriller' hitmaker spent much of his life - but Joe stated his son would have wanted his principal memorial to be in his hometown.

Meanwhile, Ian Halperin - the writer of Jackson's biography 'Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson' - is now working on a tribute documentary entitled 'Gone Too Soon', which is expected to cover the star's personal life in a "balanced tribute".

Ian Halperin wouldn't know what a 'balanced tribute' was. Like his libellous book, I expect the documentary to be an insult to the memory of a great artist and humanitarian. Halperin should walk a while in the shoes of Michael's family or fans and meditate on what it feels like to have someone tell lies about your loved one.

It's definately a good idea & I can't wait to go visit. Joe Jackson is a smart business man, I hope that he opens a chain of them around the US. Once this one is complete, the next project should be restoring Neverland. Michael appeared to be really happy there. & he loved it when the sick & disabled children from Make A Wish Foundation came over 4 their day of fun. It killed me when he was harrased to the extent that he felt he had to move. I always wanted him to find the strenght to reclaim his home from the hands of satan & his followers & restore it back to the happy, magical & innocent place that it once was. Hopefully it will happen one day. That demon Ian Halperin can go back to hell with his filthy lies. Michael fought a good fight. I love you so much Micheal.

Nobody said that there should be a museum at Neverland. I said it should be restored to what it once was when Michael lived there, the zoo, the rides, the theater & the house. Then allow the fans to go there to visit, feel his presence, feel some sort of closeness to him since this is where he lived for over a decade & enjoy all of the things that Michael enjoyed. Elvis fans have Graceland to go to, what do MJ fans have??? Nothing. Where can MJ fans go??? Nowhere!!!! No place to go in the US. Bhodi, MJ fans are not part of a cult; we love, admire & appreciate all of the wonderful things that he's done for mankind. You shouldn't be concern about Michael's legacy or whatever mess you feel he made with his life. You should be concern about your own mental problems & seek help from professionals. Don't worry about us gloryfing him or standing on line like zombies instead get some help. You are starting to sound like a MJ hater.
