Michael Jackson New Song Is Not A Fake Says Sony

MICHAEL JACKSON's record label Sony Music has vehemently denied claims that the vocals on a previously unheard track by the singer are fake. The song in question, entitled 'Breaking News, was recorded in New Jersey in 2007 according the label, and will be included on Jackson's forthcoming posthumous album.
Shortly after Sony released the new song on their website, the singer's nephews TJ JACKSON and TARYLL JACKSON became suspicious. TJ posted a message on his Twitter page saying he was convinced the vocals were provided by a Jackson imitator named JASON MALACHI, adding that he thought the recording was "deceptively merging shady vocals with MJ samples". Taryll claimed that Sony have yet to deliver any hard evidence that the song is genuine, writing on his Twitter page, "I questioned the validity of the vocals on Breaking News and several other songs and they told me no other takes or tracks exist".
Despite the allegations, Sony Music told BBC News that it has "complete confidence" in the results of their extensive research, and had "accounts of those who were in the studio with Michael" when he recorded the track. The new album, 'Michael', will be released on December 14th 2010.

It sounds like Michael to me. I've listened to the song repeatedly through headphones on a good sound system and I would never have questioned its authenticity if I hadn't read the rumors in the media. Seems like there are people who want to sabotage the new album... or maybe they don't want to hear anything NEW by Michael, just the same material we already know and love. For Michael's legend to grow, and his legacy to live on, we must have new material (given that he never stopped writing and recording) - so long as his high standards continue to be met and the integrity of his brand retained.

As much as I would love this to be MJ, its not. The thought of being able to hear more of Michael singing is exciting but I have listened to this song and its not Michael. I have heard the imitator sing and while he does a good job you can tell its not MJ.

I've been really looking forward to hearing more of MJ's music. However, I'd like to know the background to each piece and how they've arrived at the released version. No more controversy please.
