Michael Jackson - Michael Jackson Mother Not Missing: Family Insists It's A Distraction Tactic
Michael Jackson 's family members are claiming that reports of their mother Katherine Jackson going missing on Saturday (July 21, 2012) had been falsified, in order to distract from another family problem. Last week, Janet Jackson and a number of her siblings wrote a letter to the executors of Jacko's estate, calling for them to resign immediately. They claimed that the legal firm had forged their late brother's signature on his will and also accused the lawyers of coercing the family matriarch, Katherine, into agreeing that they should receive a larger percentage of the pop singer's gross earnings.
In a statement obtained by Celebuzz, the Jackson family have responded to claims that Katherine Jackson went missing on the weekend. "This fallacious missing persons report was created by the very person and persons we are trying to protect our mother from," read the statement. "We feel that there is a conspiracy to deflect the attention away from a letter we wrote asking for the resignation of executors, John Branca and John MCClain, as well as some of her 'advisors" and 'caregivers'. We want answers. The only feud that exists is between the Executors of the Estate and this family. This is being handled by the proper authorities and due process will take place."
82 year-old Katherine was allegedly reported missing on Saturday by her nephew, Trent but Jermaine Jackson promptly took to Twitter to insist that his mother was resting with his sister, Rebbie. "Let me put to bed today's nonsense: as I made clear some days ago, Mother is safe and well in Arizona with her daughter and our sister, Rebbie, resting up on doctor's advice, so it is beyond me how she can be reported 'missing.'
