Michael Jackson - Michael Jackson Manslaughter: Doctor Rejects Plea Bargain

Michael Jackson died exactly two years ago to the day, and the manslaughter case surrounding his death has now taken another twist. DR CONRAD MURRAY, who Michael Jackson was using to source his bizarre cocktail of drugs, today rejected a plea bargain, TMZ understands. Jackson died from an overdose of the drug propofol, a hypnotic agent usually only used on coma patients, and Murray was the supplier. TMZ went on to say that the L.A. County District Attorney was not planning to offer a plea bargain in any case, regardless of Murray's wishes. His defence centres around the notion that he was not in the room when Jackson took the drug, with his Council claiming that Murray left the room, and Jackson administered the fatal overdose to himself, in a desperate attempt to get some sleep.

La Toya Jackson, in her new book 'Starting Over', claims that Michael feared he would be killed by people wanting to get access to his valuable music catalogue, and that he was being controlled by outside figures who cut him off from his family, reported ABC News. However, La Toya doesn't blame Murray, insisting that he is just the 'fall guy', and that Michael's death was part of a larger conspiracy to wrest Jackson's estate away from him. She said; "This is definitely something that was premeditated, that they had planned to do, and they planned to take my brother out, and my brother knew it, and that's why my brother told me repeatedly, repeatedly and repeatedly, that this was going to happen to him." The trial is set for September and Murray has been charged with involuntary manslaughter.

Propofol is not a hypnotic drug, it is an anesthetic. You have it when you have major dental work done, or have to have badly broken bones set etc. Michael was using it for his chronic insomnia - incorrect usage, and with inadequate monitoring, particularly if the doctor who is supposed to be keeping an eye on you isn't there or isn't paying due attention. But the two together and you have a terrible, tragic accident. We lost Michael Jackson, his children lost their beloved parent, and Murray's defense team are desperate for something - anything, to excuse his actions. I don't believe in the conspiracy theories. But I do believe this doctor was not up to the job he was employed to do, regardless of the appropriateness of it.

First MJ I hope you are really resting in peace in heaven because here on earth they are still trying your case with no end in sight. 2nd Latoya is trying to sell her book and she needs to shut up until after the trial. She is not helping by insisting that she knows exactly what happened. There is enough trouble for the prosecution with the defense fishing for a way to get their client off.Fall guy or not CONRAD MURRAY ADMITTED GIVING MJ PROPOFOL AND IF THAT IS WHAT KILLED HIM CASE CLOSE.If Murray was the proper physician for MJ then he would not have given him something that he obviously didn't know what he was doing. If he gave MJ propofol then MJ could not have become conscious in that short amount of time that Murray was out of the room and given himself anything. I'm so tired of this crap. Whether it was on purpose or not MURRAY GAVE HIM THAT FINAL BLOW AND IT WORKED. IT KILLED HIM AND MURRAY HAS A PROBLEM WITH A POSSIBLE 4 YEARS? MAYBE HE WOULD PREFER TO SWAP WITH MICHAEL AND SPEND A LIFE/DEATH SENTENCE!

Typical TMZ rubbish. They can't even get basic facts right and just can't help but twist anything about Michael into the worst possible light, ie, "bizarre cocktail of drugs." Michael's organs were free of drugs which proved there was no recent long term drug use and propofol is not an "hypnotic agent". Idiots! As for LaToya -- who knows? Maybe she should go work for TMZ!
