Michael Douglas To Enjoy Wedding Anniversary
MICHAEL DOUGLAS says he is looking forward to his 10th wedding anniversary with wife CATHERINE ZETA-JONES, despite his battle with cancer. The Oscar winning actor says that if his struggle with the disease has taught him anything, it's to savour life's special moments.
The 65-year-old has been undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment for throat cancer, however, he told the UK's The Mirror, "Time goes so fast. I'm looking forward to our anniversary and I'll be back in good health so we can really enjoy it although we haven't yet decided what we are going to do", before adding, "Our marriage is a great legacy and because of my health issues it's having added importance. I'm going to really savour the moments and savour the time because it goes so fast."
Despite his illness, Douglas has recently been involved in a number of new film projects. He is set to star in STEVEN SODERBERGH's drama 'Haywire' which is currently in post-production and due for release in 2011. The movie also features EWAN MCGREGOR and follows a soldier's need for revenge after being betrayed during a mission. Douglas also reprised his role as Gordon Gekko for OLIVER STONE'S Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, which premiered at the CANNES FILM FESTIVAL, and was officially released on 24st September 2010.
