Michael Douglas - Michael Douglas Begins Comeback As Oscars Presenter
Michael Douglas has been added to the list of Oscar Awards' presenters, it's been revealed today. The 58 year-old may not be up for much himself these days, but his class is enduring nonetheless; he is of course a former Academy Award winner himself, taking the Best Actor gong back in 1987 for his performance in 'Wall Street,' as well as a Best Picture Award in 1975 as a producer on 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.' Other film credits include 'Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps,' 'Solitary Man,' 'You, Me and Dupree,' 'Traffic,' 'Wonder Boys,' 'Falling Down,' 'Fatal Attraction' and 'The China Syndrome.'
Reuters reports that Douglas will be joining an illustrious list of names already announced to be presenting at the event on this coming weekend. Others, in what amounts to somewhat of a who's who of-sorts, including Halle Berry, Rose Byrne, Bradley Cooper, Tom Cruise, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Tina Fey, Tom Hanks, Angelina Jolie, Milla Jovovich, Ellie Kemper, Jennifer Lopez, Melissa Mccarthy, Wendy Mclendon-covey, Chris Rock, Maya Rudolph, Ben Stiller, Emma Stone and Kristen Wiig.
Douglas has endured a couple of torrid years having been diagnosed with throat cancer back in 2010; however early last year he revealed that the tumour had gone and has been admirably battling back to full health to the point where he'll be appearing in the film 'Haywire,' due to be released this year.
