Michael Buble - Michael Buble: 'Reese Witherspoon Handled Arrest With Class'
Michael Buble has applauded his one-time collaborator Reese Witherspoon for showing "graciousness, class and great dignity" in dealing with the aftermath of her recent arrest in Georgia.
The Legally Blonde star was detained by police in Atlanta on 19 April (13) after arguing with a traffic cop who had pulled over the car her husband Jim Toth was driving.
Witherspoon was charged with disorderly conduct, while the talent agent was also booked for driving while intoxicated, and she subsequently spoke out to reveal she felt "deeply embarrassed" and "very sorry" for her actions.
Buble, who recorded Frank and Nancy Sinatra's Something Stupid with the actress for his new album, has commended Witherspoon for her grovelling apology, telling ET Canada, "Getting to know her, she's a kind, humble, down-to-earth, real girl that I adore. Everyone makes mistakes. It's just a matter of, really, how you come back from 'em."
He adds, "I thought that she just showed graciousness and class and great dignity (by apologising). I hope that when I make mistakes that I come back the same way... I'm sure she wishes she could go back but the truth is... she's got a beautiful family and beautiful kids and I think that's what's most important for her."
