Mgmt Change Album Release Plans After Leak
Grammy-nominated rockers MGMT have scrapped plans to give away their album for free after the record was leaked online.
The Kids hitmakers initially wanted to make Congratulations available to fans as a free download, but the band has now decided just to stream the album on its official website.
The news comes after a string of tracks from the upcoming record, which is due for release on 12 April (10), surfaced on the internet.
A post on the band's website reads, "Hey everybody, the album leaked, and we wanted you to be able to hear it from us. We wanted to offer it as a free download but that didn't make sense to anyone but us."
