Metallica - Metallica Concert Promoters Released On Bail

Four promoters accused of cheating Metallica fans over a cancelled October (11) concert in Gurgaon, India have been granted bail and told not to leave the country.
Dna Networks general manager Rajesh Kumar and three others have been charged with fraud after officials determined they were to blame for the gig's last-minute cancellation.
Petitioning for their release, lawyers for the four arrested promoters argued their clients "made all necessary arrangements for the show" and it was scrapped after "some fans broke the barricade".
A representative for Dna Networks claims "unruly" fans were to blame for the axed concert, which was scheduled to be part of the recent Indian Formula 1 Grand Prix.
Karuna Prithvi tells Pollstar fans "vandalised and destroyed" stage equipment and left the promoters with no choice but to scrap the show.
Local reports suggest the crowd became unruly when the gates opened several hours late.
In a message posted on their website shortly after the cancellation of the show, the disappointed members of Metallica wrote, "We (were) very excited and ready to play our first show ever in India at the F1 Rocks concert. However, immediately at the end of our afternoon press conference at a hotel near the venue, we were notified that there was a serious question as to whether the show could proceed with regard to the safety of the concert audience. And our first and foremost concern is always for the safety of the fans."
