Merle Haggard Ill, Cancels Texas Show
Country legend Merle Haggard scrapped a show in Texas on Saturday (13Aug11) and checked into hospital.
The Okie From Muskogee singer/songwriter was feeling unwell before a concert and called on doctors at a Fort Worth hospital to check him out.
It is not known what ailed the 74 year old but he was kept in overnight and driven home to California early on Sunday (14Aug11).
The medical emergency is a big concern for fans because Haggard had surgery for lung cancer in 2008.
