Mercury Misses Out On Moustache Honour

Freddie Mercury and Jimi Hendrix's famous facial hair has been beaten to the top of a poll to find the most recognisable moustache - by artist Salvador Dali.

The surrealist painter received 24 per cent of the vote to take the top spot, closely followed by wrestler-turned-reality-star Hulk Hogan, with 18 per cent.

Queen frontman Mercury is in sixth place with 11 per cent of votes in the MSN Him survey, while Hendrix garnered just three per cent to take ninth position.

Also featured in the top ten were hairy heroes Charlie Chaplin and Albert Einstein.
