Melanie C - Melanie Chisholm Opens Up About Love Split

It was revealed last month (Jul12) that the former Spice Girls star had parted from her boyfriend Thomas Starr after 10 years together.

The former couple is parents to three-year-old daughter Scarlet, and Chisholm admits she is "not comfortable talking" about the split.

However, when asked by a reporter for Britain's Fabulous magazine how she is handling being a "single mum", Chisholm replies, "My life has become more complicated, definitely. Nothing has changed really.

"Being busy has been helpful. I think in many ways I'm a workaholic. Even though we all complain when we're busy, I'm probably at my happiest when I am."

The singer also reveals she is not ready to find a new partner yet, although she dreamed of having another child.

She adds, "I always hoped there would be more children in my life, but maybe that won't happen now... I don't know. Dating is at the bottom of my priorities at the moment, it really is. Scarlet and me are the priorities."
