Melanie Brown's Dress Sale Raises $4,250 For Charity
British singer Melanie Brown has raised more than $4,000 (£2,545) for an Australian breast cancer charity after selling off a collection of her dresses.
The former Spice Girls star donated seven gowns she wore as co-presenter on the Aussie version of reality show Dancing With The Stars to The MCGrath Foundation's sale, which was held to generate funds to provide nurses for women suffering from the disease.
The sale ended on Thursday (21Jun12), with Brown's plunging red Alexander MCQueen dress proving the top seller, fetching $1,247 (£784) - and the whole auction raising a total of $4,250 (£2,705).
