Melanie Brown Apologises For Date Rape Comments
British singer Melanie Brown has apologised for making an inappropriate comment about date rape, insisting she "did not mean to offend anyone".
The former Spice Girls star caused controversy with a post on Twitter.com in which she told fans, "My husband is asleep. I think I may date rape him!"
The message sparked outrage from her followers and Brown has now apologised for the remark.
She writes, "Sorry for the 'date rape comment' I did not mean to offend anyone at all my sincere apologies!"
