Mel Gibson - Mel Gibson To Relive 2006 Dui Arrest In Cop's Court Case?
Mel Gibson has been listed as a possible witness in a discrimination trial between the traffic cop who arrested him for drink driving and police department bosses in Los Angeles.
The Braveheart star hit the headlines in 2006 after launching into an anti-Semitic rant while he was being booked by Jewish Sheriff's Deputy James Mee in Malibu, California.
Mee maintains he suffered taunts and missed out on career advancement for reporting Gibson's offensive remarks following the arrest and he filed suit against his superiors in 2010, alleging he was overlooked for promotion because he'd complained about the movie star and director receiving preferential treatment from police officials.
The case is due to go to trial on 14 February (12) and Mee's lawyers are interested in naming Gibson as a potential witness alongside Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca.
