Mel Gibson - Mel Gibson Settles Lawsuit Over Tyre Deal
Mel Gibson has ended a legal battle over a business deal by agreeing to a settlement.
The Braveheart star was sued by a man who alleges Gibson convinced him in 2007 to invest in Green Rubber, a Malaysian company which devulcanises rubber to recycle tyres.
Nader Sherif was supposedly assured the firm would re-purchase his stock whenever he wanted out of the deal, but he claims bosses refused when he asked for his investment back.
Sherif asked for $200,000 (£125,000) plus interest when he filed suit against Gibson in June (11), but now the two sides have come to an agreement to end the matter.
According to Tmz.com, the movie star paid Sherif an unspecified amount, but details of the deal are being kept under wraps.
