Mel C wants daughter to be free of body worries
Mel C doesn't want her three-year-old daughter to grow up with body issues.
The former Spice Girls singer battled eating disorders and self-esteem issues in her 20s and she insists it is very important to her that little Scarlet doesn't have concerns about her appearance when she's a teenager.
She said: ''Our children are growing up in a very different environment to the one we knew. I want to instil good values - hard work, self-esteem - in Scarlet. I don't want her to get caught up in body image too early. We've got all our adult years as women to beat ourselves up.''
Mel - who recently split from Scarlet's father, Thomas Starr, after 10 years with him - admits they are few things about her own life that she doesn't want Scarlett to repeat.
The 38-year-old star has 11 tattoos, which include a huge Celtic cross and various Tibetan life mottos, but she would be mortified if her daughter got an inking.
Mel - who is currently appearing in touring musical 'Jesus Christ Superstar' - told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: ''I have a love/hate relationship with my tattoos. I really hope Scarlet doesn't get any when she's older.''
