Mel B Set To Become X-factor Judge, Permanently?
"Mel was our first choice. She was so quick and honest. You can't let everyone down gently or the praise is meaningless. There's a lot of money on the table for her next year," a source told The Sun. The news represents a turbulent few weeks for the 37-year old pop star. After a reunion with the band that made her career, Mel made an explosive debut on Itv's talent show, The X-Factor, and her quick-witted, brutally honest appraisals of what she saw on the show, seem to have won her plenty of fans behind the scenes. Her show Down Under has taken precedent, though, as Itv go about landed her services for 2013.
The Olympics seems to have had a profound effect on this year's X-Factor, with global superstar Usain Bolt being offered a chance to mentor on the show, and star in the making Mo Farah also offered a similar role. It appears that a simple, one-off comeback has snowballed for Mel, as well as being offered a chance to judge on the nation's biggest talent show; there are hints that another Spice Girls reunion show could be on the cards.
