Mel B ''always dreamed'' her music would be in a musical.
The Spice Girls singer is thrilled the group's hits soundtrack forthcoming stage production 'VIVA FOREVER' - which opens in London's West End later this year - and thinks the show will be very ''special'' as she and her bandmates have been waiting so long for it to happen.
She said: ''It's been in the works for the last three, four years, so we've all been really, really excited ... to actually [have it] take shape. We all sat there and watched the workshop at the start of this year and watched it all get moulded together.
''And then ['Absolutely Fabulous' star] Jennifer Saunders came onboard [to write it and], obviously, ['Mama Mia!' producer] Judy Craymer is producing it and writing it also. You know, it's just lovely.
''It's quite special to know that your music is a part of a musical. That's what we've always dreamed of, and it's actually happening from one conversation three, four years ago to actually being in a theatre in December, which isn't far away. It's quite amazing.''
Mel - who performed at the London Olympics closing ceremony on Sunday (12.08.12) with bandmates Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Mel C and Emma Bunton - thinks the writers have crafted a ''beautiful story'' which is perfectly complemented by her group's music.
She added to MTV News: ''I can't really tell you which songs are in it, because I think that's part of the surprise, but I think our songs tell a beautiful story that has nothing to do with the Spice Girls.
''It's the essence of Friendship and honesty and love, and the actual story line is beautiful. I don't want to spoil it for everyone; if you want to be entertained, if you want to be surprised, you just got to go and see it.''
