American columnist and blogger MEGHAN MCCAIN has released her new book entitled 'Dirty Sex Politics' in which she discusses her father JOHN MCCAIN'S unsuccessful presidential campaign, as well as his running mate, SARAH PALIN. MCCAIN first rose to prominence in 2007 for her blog 'MCCain Blogette', on which she regularly posts about fashion, music, and pop culture.
The Associated Press reports that in 'Dirty Sex Politics', MCCain suggests that Palin brought much stress and uncertainty to her father's attempt to defeat the now president BARACK OBAMA, stating, "There was a fine line between genius and insanity, they say, and choosing her as the running mate was starting to seem like the definition of that line." She also writes that her father lost because "Obama was unbeatable". John MCCain commented on his daughter's new publication this week, also telling the Associated Press, "Reality is that we don't agree on every issue, but that makes it even more interesting conversation around the dinner table".
'Dirty Sexy Politics' is not MCCain's first book - in 2008 she released 'My Dad, John MCCain', an illustrated children's book based on the life of her father.
