Meek Mill: Chris Brown, Drake Not To Blame For Fight!

Rapper Meek Mill claims Chris Brown nor Drake were to blame for the wild nightclub fight at the WIP venue in New York last week. The Philadelphia-based rapper - who is signed to Jay Z's record label Roc Nation - told hip-hop magazine XXL that neither Brown nor Drake threw bottles, as was initially reported.

Meek was understood to have been on Drake's table at the Hudson Square club, with some speculation claiming he started the brawl. However, the 25-year-old, born Robert Williams, explained, "Chris and Drake, them two was there but it's other people that be around that take sh*t to the next level.Things just happen in the club. I seen girls in there throwing bottles, all types of sh*t. All types of people. I never seen Chris Brown or Drake throw a bottle and I was there". Early reports suggested champagne bottles were thrown between Brown and Drake's entourages after the latter sent a note to the 'Turn Up The Music' rapper's table concerning Rihanna.

Police closed the WIP club on Saturday (June 16, 2012) as they continue to investigate the incident. Nobody has been arrested in connection to the melee, though Brown has reportedly already spoken to police. Numerous partygoers, including a 21-year-old model and the NBA star Tony Parker, were understood to have been injured.
