Meat Loaf Taken Ill After Banana Balancing Act
Bewildered presenter Andrea Mclean had to explain that Meat Loaf would no longer be able to appear - despite viewers seeing him just minutes before. She said, "I'm afraid that Meat Loaf has been taken unwell so he's unable to join us for the end of the show". A spokeswoman for the show was unable to give specific details of the singer's condition, but Meat Loaf's representatives later said he was expected to make a full recovery, saying, "He's got a mild case of the flu and has been advised by doctors to rest after a gruelling international schedule promoting Hell In A Handbasket.Meat is expected to make a quick, full recovery". It's certainly not the first time the American rocker has been taken ill during a public performance - last year he collapsed at a concert, and also appeared seriously disorientated while collecting a prize at the Q Awards in London.
'Hell in a Handbasket' is the 12th studio album by Meat Loaf, originally released in Australia on September 30, 2012.| Comment on this article |
