Meat Loaf Reveals He Once Saw A Ghost

Meat Loaf has revealed that he believes in ghosts. The I Would Do Anything For Love rocker recalled an incident when he saw what he thought was a groupie on a nearby balcony; on closer inspection, though, the girl was nowhere to be seen.

In an interview with British magazine Shortlist, he says: I believe there's something when you die because there are ghosts. I've seen them, I've been around them. When we were making Bat Out Of Hell I saw a blonde girl in a white dress. I went downstairs and told the guys, "There's a groupie up on the balcony," and they go, "How would she get up there?" Everybody went up and no one was there.' In addition to the spooky story, he also revealed he had a number of near death experiences, including 'rolling into a river in a car.'

Bat Out Of Hell was released in 1977 and is the fifth best-selling album worldwide. It spawned a sequel album, of sorts, called Bat Out of Hell II: Back Into Hell, on which was one of Meat Loaf's most famous songs: I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That). When asked what 'that' was in the song, the singer answered: 'It's the line before every chorus. Lines like 'I'll never stop dreaming of you every night of my life' or 'I'll never forget the way you feel right now'. I would do anything for love but I won't do that.'
