Mckellen Pays Tribute To Redgrave

SIR IAN MCKELLEN has honoured late actor CORIN REDGRAVE, who died on Tuesday (06Apr10).
The Lord of the Rings star attended England's Cambridge University with the stage actor, brother of actress Vanessa Redgrave, and insists he learned a lot about the theatre from his pal.
And MCKellen admits Redgrave passed along performance advice he still follows today: "Only ever pause before an interesting word."
He adds, "Corin, even after his heart attack five years ago, was always in character. A passionate, alert citizen, a would-be dragon-slayer, a super-intelligent intellectual, a worker."
Redgrave suffered a heart attack in 2005, and also battled a bout of cancer, but his cause of his death has not yet been confirmed.
