Mcfadden 'Forgiven' By Fans
Irish pop star Brian McFadden feels he's finally been "forgiven" by his fans and the media for ending his marriage to English singer-turned-reality TV star Kerry Katona.
The ex-Westlife heart-throb and former Atomic Kitten member Katona announced they were splitting in September 2004 after two and a half years of marriage and two daughters together.
When MCFadden found love again with Australian singer/actress Delta Goodrem three months later (DEC04), it was alleged the pair had been having an affair while he was still married to Katona.
Over two years later, MCFadden is still dating Goodrem and is no longer painted as a hate figure in the Irish press.
He says, "It's amazing how things have changed. People just seem to have a different attitude to me and it's great. I'm delighted.
"I was on Irish chat show TUBRIDY TONIGHT the other week and got a really positive response from the public afterwards. I did the Childline (British children's charity) concert in Dublin and got a great reaction, so it has given me a real boost."
