Mccartney: 'Wales Is A Third-world Country'
Sir Paul McCartney has prompted outrage by branding Wales "a Third World country".
The former Beatle made the gaffe while joking with fellow musician, Kaiser Chiefs rocker Ricky Wilson.
He told Wilson he is never recognised by fans in poorer countries and added, "Well, Wales is a Third World country.
"We love Welsh people by the way...especially my Auntie Dilys."
A spokesperson for the star insists, "It was only supposed to be a joke."
