Mccartney Slams Rise Of The Mp3 Player

Sir Paul McCartney is disappointed by the rise of the MP3 player - because it stops listeners interacting with nature.
The former Beatle admits he's not a fan of portable music devices, as it reminds him of hard work in the studio - and believes headphones shut people off from the world when they should be enjoying the world around them.
He says, "Headphones remind me of work - whereas for most people it's the opposite.
"The thing is, you get sealed off from the world, and that's fine when you're making a record. But, when you're actually just walking around, you're gonna miss birdsong, and that's so special.
But his hatred of headphone-based music doesn't extend to that performed on a guitar: "Guitars are different. It's a very embraceable instrument - even looks like a woman."

Well Paul your right but I walk an 1 1/2 hour a day walking.I love the outdoor's but I do listen to my CD player. But if I run into other passer's I take off my headset and speak.I love people & nature.I listen to the bird's in the morning.During the day i dont have time to listen to my CD's.But when i walk I can listen up 2 or 3 CD's a day. Sale's would drop if people didnt have time to listen to music. To see If the song would be worth purchaseing a CD.And I mean anyone's music. You say yourself music keep's your soul up & soaring. It does the same for me cause When I listen I pay close attention to the word's .Not just the beat.Mentaly I would be a very moody person If I dont hear music each day.Downloads & mp3's to me is a good way to sale album's .I worked in a music store people wouldnt buy a CD sometimes cause thay wont to hear the CD before thay purchase it.I would tell them that if at least half of the album is good Its worth It.But Im sorry to say a very few artist doesnt make great album that's great all the way through.I wouldnt tell the customer that. But i would lead them to the best artist I know. The world is changing sometimes we have to move with It or be left behind.Leting the public hear the album beforehand to me Is a great way to promote an album. No matter what way thay hear it.But the world is a very cold place these day's im CANCER so Im a very very tender hearted. It hurts my feelings When i speak to others & they dont speak back.I can cry at the drop of a hat.Im part cherokee Indian. So you can imagine.Lot of people dont respect others so how can they care for the earth. We Love ya Paul take care.Jackie .WILM.NC
