Mccartney Silences Linda Tapes In Light Of Mills Divorce
PETER COX co-wrote the book LINDA MCCARTNEY'S HOME COOKING in 1989 and was given the 15 cassettes, an audio record of her ideas.
However, according to British newspaper the Daily Mirror, the tapes also contain revelations of her marriage to MCCartney which the former beatle now wants kept secret in light of his bitter divorce battle with Heather Mills.
MCCartney's management company MPL Communications now has an agreement in writing from Cox to keep their contents confidential.
A source tells the publication, "They're dynamite. Linda begins to unburden her troubles and the tapes become an audio diary.
"It's a private and emotional confessional. She vents feelings which she'd not dared share even with her closest loved ones. She found the tapes cathartic.
"Mr Cox has been silenced and the tapes remain a secret."
