Mccartney Sells Guitar For $120,000

Music legends SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY, SIR MICK JAGGER and RONNIE WOOD raised thousands of pounds for charity at a celebrity guitar auction in Britain on Tuesday (20Nov07). MCCartney was "astonished" after his signed replica Gibson Les Paul guitar was sold for $120,000 (GBP60,000). Rolling Stones' Ronnie Wood's guitar was auctioned for $22,000 (GBP11,000) while Pink Floyd's Roger Waters' 'Wall'-themed guitar went for $21,000 (GBP10,500) at the sale in London's O2 Centre. The money will be split between Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, the Prince's Trust and Teenager Cancer Trust.
