Mccartney Defends Paparazzi Slap

SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY has defended himself against allegations he slapped a paparazzo in an unprovoked attack in London earlier this week, insisting it was the videographer who "overstepped the mark". MCCartney was snapped confronting James Jenkins and hitting him across the face following a heated confrontation outside the former Beatle's home. But the star is adamant he was provoked. A spokesman says, "Every day for the last 18 months Paul has had to put up with up to ten paparazzi trailing him wherever he goes and these guys overstepped the mark." But Jenkins maintains he did nothing to antagonise the singer: "You can hear on the video that I didn't say a thing. It was him who walked up to me and became aggressive. "His slap had quite a sting to it and I was left with a red mark."

Paparazzi should just leave him alone! If Sir Paul has something to say to the media...then he will call a press confrence and tell you at that time...you don't have to get up in his face to get him to say something to you.

If everyone would LEAVE HIM ALONE none of this would happen. I know he is a huge news maker, but really. They are annoying, and just cause problems. Most write for shanty papers and one can not believe what they say anyway. They are useless leeches in our society !!!!!

Good for you, Paul! I would have done the same thing. Even if the guy didn't say anything to Paul, he doesn't have the right to harass him in any other way. Even the famous ones can only take so much crap before losing it. If it had been me, it would have been more than just a slap.
